Spring Summer 2012

Birdsong is an early, telltale sign of spring and a pleasant surprise every year.

"A month from the first lark to the summer,
half a month from the chaffinch,
a short while from the wagtail,
not a day from the swallow."

This old Finnish proverb was the inspiration for Second Chance's Spring Summer collection Swallows. It will make summer come early in March 2012. Moths also make a reappearance due to their enormous popularity in the previous collection.

The spring arrivals are sophisticated, both in their choice of materials, colours and product types. The swallows are swirling in chic black and white, soft brown and a delicious coral shade.

When summer approaches, the colours change into fresher tones. Nature is turning green, and lovely summery shades of green take centre stage in the collection. They are complemented by luscious sorbet colours such as raspberry pink and lilac. The feeling is playful and energetic.

Although dresses and tunics are the main feature of the collection, the summer's must-have item are the harem trousers. They can also be worn as a jumpsuit, as versatility is the Second Chance theme of the summer!
